ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

  

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY  :   At The Bromley Court Hotel  we recognise we have an obligation  , and it is our policy to carry out all  reasonable practical measures to improve our environmental performance  . We have made application to be assessed and accredited by The Green Business Scheme    www.green-business.co.uk .

Prior to our assessment we have conducted our own audit and have implemented the following   improvements to our business  :

  • We recycle  Glass and  Cardboard
  • Low energy bulbs are fitted  where ever possible
  • A Bed linen and Towel policy is in place
  • Televisions are switched off and not left in stand by mode
  • Waste cooking oil is recycled
  •  Lighting during day light hours are switched off where possible
  • When purchasing new equipment we endeavour to purchase only A rated appliances
  • We recycle  old computer equipment , Linen , Beds and Furniture to local charities
  • Recycle ink cartridges
  • Toilets are fitted with  low flush  buttons
  • Heating is controlled by individual thermostats  on radiators and internal and external  temperature sensors
  • Staff and individual departments are given individual responsibilities  and training to acheive our aims
  • When undertaking building works better insulation has been incorporated in ceiling and roof works
  • Printing where possible is printed on recycled paper
  • General Paper products where possible are  purchased  using recycled paper

We recognise there is always more we can do and this list is constantly being up dated , and following on from our assessment by The Green Business Scheme we will continure to improve  .
